let's get silly

Thanks so much to all the members who made blocks for the Quilt of Valor Bee. We received 49 “Liberty” blocks at the meeting and 14 of the smaller “Jagged X Blocks.” All these blocks should really help QOV Bee piece 3-4 nice size quilts. Congratulations to Serena Beach for winning the block participation raffle.  If you still have QOV blocks to turn in, please bring them to the September guild meeting. Forty of the kits for Jagged X were distributed by QOV and 24 blocks are still outstanding. Our next Block of the Month, “Silly Monster,” has really taken off and the fun has begun. These blocks will assist Community Quilts Bee with making kids quilts for Sleep in Heavenly Peace.   Instructions for the block and the template patterns for silly monsters will be on the website.  You can design/draw your own monster and do not need to use the provided templates.  We are having another participation raffle drawing in October for each block completed.  

Remember, all it takes is “One Block at a Time,” to make a difference.
