Guild Sponsored Workshops
The WAQG workshops are currently being held at the Robinson Rd Community Center at 27434 Robinson Rd, Conroe, TX 77385.
Registration for members is $35 and due upon signup. It’s a good idea to bring a sack lunch as our lunch break is generally a quick one. If there are openings one month prior to the workshop, non-guild members may register for the workshop for a $45 fee. Setup for workshops begin at 8:30; workshops are from 9 until 3:30.
All interested parties may contact the following members: Sheri Acosta at firstname.lastname@example.org (972) 742-0629 or Diane Wood at email@example.com, (713) 822-6797. (Workshop Fees do not include patterns or other supplies.)
August 2020—Jody, Borrows, Square in a Square
Lecture, 8/5: During her lecture you will hear stories about Jodi’s unique family history of women. Come and see the quilts, learn some American history and listen to Jodi as she makes this pre-Civil War period come to life.
Workshop, 8/6: Use the Square in a Square System to create square within squares. The result is extra clean cuts along with speed and accuracy not found with other methods. You will be amazed at how versatile the system can be!
September 12, 2020 (Saturday)- Quilts of Valor – Workshop- since we missed July’s date, how about in appreciation for Uncle Sam’s Day! ~

We will need fabric donations so kits for various patterns for participants can be prepared ahead of time. Lunch will be provided by WAQG. Wear something patriotic- who knows, you may win door prize! Non-members welcomed.
